Owner Information
Owned and ran by Anthony Notridge with the assistance of Rebecca Smith. Anthony and Rebecca begun dating in October 2011 and soon found that they both had a common interest in reptiles and nature as a whole. Rebecca soon began taking a keen interest in the collection Anthony had amassed himself and was at hand to assist in handling, cleaning and feeding of these creatures. Come January 2012 Anthony purchased Rebecca her first snake, a Corn Snake called Dutchess, and she soon began to start her own collection. When Anthony found some spare time on his hands come the end of January 2012 it was Rebecca, along with close friends Tony and Louise Smith, that encouraged Anthony to take the opportunity to start up his own website due to his large number of pets. It was here that Notridge-Reptiles.co.uk was born.

Anthony Notridge is the owner and operator of Notridge-Reptiles.co.uk and its collection of reptiles. Anthony has had a keen interest in reptiles and animals from a very young age and has always kept pets at his home. It is only in recent years however that he has begun collecting and owning reptiles. Like most people he found that his parents were very much against the idea of having these wonderful group of creatures within their household and so he was restricted in his owning of these creatures. However, in the June 2010 he purchased his very first reptile, a Corn Snake called McLaren, behind his parents back and sneaked the snake home. He managed to keep the snake hidden under his desk in his bedroom for five days before his pet cat gave the game up and his parents found the snake. He was immediately contacted at work, where he was working as a Quantity Surveyor, and advised he get rid of the snake or leave with it. Anthony spent that night, with the snake, sleeping at his office. After several weeks of the snake remaining under his desk at his office, with his employers at the time not knowing, he was approached by his neighbour, whom had heard of his plight, and was offered the opportunity to keep his pet at their address. Anthony's neighbour was a man called Jed Edge, whom he had known since a young age, Jed was the man behind every reptile in all of the original Indiana Jones films, the original Star Wars Films, early Bond Films and films such as The Labyrinth, along with many TV shows and Theatre shows such as Phantom of the Opera. Jed had personally owned, trained and handled every snake, spider, crocodile, etc in these films, shows, etc and so offered Anthony a wide and detailed education into these wonderful and fascinating group of creatures. Up until January 2012 Anthony continued to keep his pets at the home of Jed Edge, where Jed had allocated him some space in one of his spare rooms, and with the help and encouragement of Jed begun to build a varied and numbered collection, knowledge and understanding. However, with Jed's health declining over this time, come January 2012 Anthony took the reluctant decision to remove his reptiles from Jed's house to allow Jed more room and access, which his health now required. Anthony now rents a room from friends that live nearby that have a keen interest in reptiles and so is able to continue to grow and develop the animals in his care whilst expanding and developing his collection, education and experience in this field.

Rebecca 'Becky' Smith has had a very keen interest in animals, as a whole, her entire life and dreamt of one day traveling to see them up close in the wild. For her 21st Birthday Rebecca's Nan treated Rebecca to a trip to Africa where she was able to get up close and personal with animals such as crocodiles, elephants, lions, giraffes, etc in the wild. This experience made Rebecca's love for animals grow deeper and caused her compasion for other living things to develop to a level which is unparralleled. For instance, in the Summer of 2011 Rebecca came across a group of kittens which were being illtreated by their owners and were seriously unwell. Rebecca took the drastic action of forcibly removing these animals from the care of these individuals and she took it upon herself to find the kittens, at just 3 weeks of age, suitable homes. The youngest and most unwell kitten, a male, Rebecca took upon herself to nurse and return to fitness. She was advised by her local vet to expect the worse and that the kitten would likely not survive. With 24hr care for the next few weeks and an intense course of treatment from her local vet, at great expense, Rebecca was able to turn this kitten's fortunes around. The Kitten, now affectionately known as Gizmo, has gone from strength to strength and is now a firm fixture in Becky's heart and home. In October 2011 Rebecca met and started to date Anthony and found that she too shared his love and interest for reptiles. She begun by taking a keen interest in the animals in Anthony's collection by helping in anyway she could and begun to learn and develop skills and knowledge of these creatures very quickly. In January 2012 she was given her first snake by Anthony, a Creamsicle Corn snake called Dutchess. Later that same month, having taken a very keen and active interest in Anthony's Yemen Chameleon 'Merlin' Anthony took the steps in procuring a Yemen Chameleon for Rebecca. At the end of January Anthony was offered the opportunity to rescue, with a nominal fee to himself, a Juvenile Male Yemen Chameleon who's owners were no longer able to care for it due to medical grounds. Anthony took the steps to prepare and provide the chameleon with a suitable setup and surprised Rebecca with her very own Chameleon, which she named 'Cosmo'. Rebecca continues to grow and expand her knowledge and collection and her animals can be found alongside those of Anthony's on this website.
Terms and Conditions
Anything listed as 'on-site' is from our own collection and is sold purely so we can maintain our own pets, we are not a business and do not run this site to make money. Items listed as 'off-site' are advertised purely on behalf of friends and so all proceedes go to the third party.
All animals advertised are captive bred, unless stated otherwise, and will be in outwardly good condition and health and will have fed voluntarily (defrosted rodents only) at least 3 times consecutively at the time of sale.
Satisfaction on any animal's health is our priority and as we only accept delivery/collection in person we would assume that you are completely satisfied at the time of receipt. As we cannot guarantee that proper care is being provided once an animal leaves our premises, we ask that you contact us within 48 hours of receipt, should you have any concerns.
Every effort is taken to ensure that your animals are correctly sexed however in the event of an error, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt and we will offer a replacement animal (subject to availability).
All snakes ordered will either be collected by you in person or, on occasion, we may be able to deliver depending on your location so please ask. Couriers or reptile taxi's will not be used.
Hets - Any hets which are less than 100% hets will be shown in brackets and normally the % probability will also be shown. If there is no het or % probability shown in brackets then that is generally an indication that the probability is not more than 50%.
Visual traits - In some cases it is impossible to determine if a snake is visually a particular trait ie homozygous (homo) or if it merely carries the recessive gene for that trait ie heterozygous (het), for example a snow may look the same as a hypo snow (in the case of the hypo snow they are usually much pinker, hence the name coral snow, but not always) and if we are expecting both in the same clutch this could become a problem. In these cases where we cannot guarantee with 100% accuracy we will not guess but choose to state that the animal is "het or homo" for the particular trait. In order to protect our customers we feel that this is the most ethical way of dealing with this so that you are never disappointed. However if you would like us to give you our best guess as to which they are, we are happy to do so, but can give no guarantees.
Deposits may only be made on animals/items that are in-stock (on-site). Deposits (10% minimum but not less than £5.00) will only be taken on animals which are ready to leave our premises. However, if you wish to be notified of availability of a particular animal in advance please advise us via email and you will be given priority for the first 24 hours of animals being offered for sale. Animals may be held for no more than 7 days without a deposit, unless otherwise agreed with us in advance. 10% deposit will hold an animal for a maximum of 2 weeks, a 25% deposit will hold an animal for a maximum of 1 month, 50% deposit will hold an animal for 2 months and payment in full will hold an animal for a maximum of 3 months. On receipt of the deposit, animals must be collected/delivered within the appropriate time for the deposit paid, unless otherwise agreed with us in advance, otherwise they will be placed back up for sale and your deposit will be forfeited.
Should you change your mind with regard to the morph/species/subspecies ordered, deposits are transferable to other purchases of available animals during the current year but are not refundable.
Items which are available off-site will need to be paid for in full within 24 hours of order. This is so we can guarantee that our suppliers will be paid in full and so we can continue to provide future animals/items at the prices we have access too and so that we can continue to attract such a wide and varied level of quality goods. If the item has not been paid for in full we cannot guarantee our suppliers will not sell the animal/item to a different seller. Once the item has been paid for please allow 72 hours, unless otherwise stated, for the animal/item to be delivered to our address before collection/delivery can be arranged. If we are unable to fulfil the order for any reason, such as the supplier having sold out, a full refund will be made.
We ask that you do your research and buy all equipment necessary BEFORE collecting your reptile. It is your responsibility to ensure that you provide the correct housing and care for your animal once it leaves our premises. We are, however, on hand to offer free help and advise at all times. We also offer a wide range of set-ups and a special range of pre-setup solutions which can be purchased at cost, plus a minimal fee for our services.
